One telescope mount for all telescopes and Binos. Is that at all possible?

During the years I have gathered various types of telescopes for different observations and a similar number of mounts. This led me to ask: “Is it possible to get one mount for all?” I am a visual observer without an observatory which means I have to bring all my equipment outside and set it up. After the session, I have to take it down again and bring it back into the house.
To observe comfortable with my APM 100 ED Bino it must be on a motorized alt-azimuth mount. I have first tried with a Skywatcher AZEQ5 GT but it was too wind sensitive. What to do?
Just at this time, I came across an internet ad from Teleskop Service Ransburg showing the TTS Panther. After some internet research, among others at Cloudy Nights in the USA, it was clear: This is the one!
Back in 2008 at the Starparty IHT in Reinsehlen, I had seen Niels with a prototype of the TTS-160. In May 2017 I took the step.
I must say that I have not regretted this. The TTS-160 Panther carries the Bino as well as the other telescopes without problems and the tracking is precise and smooth. You have to learn the different types of handpad and the alignment procedure and then you have a mount that is very fast to set up (mine is on a short Berlebach Planet tripod), easy to transport and functionally thought through. It is great fun to use and observe with the different telescopes. I am really very satisfied with my choice for lifetime use.

I can highly recommend the TTS-160 Panther.

Eine Montierung für alle Teleskope und Binos? Gibt’s so etwas überhaupt?
Nachdem ich mir mit der Zeit ziemlich unterschiedliche Teleskope für die verschiedenen Beobachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einer entsprechenden Anzahl von Montierungen angeschafft hatte, stellte sich die Frage, ob es nicht „eine für Alle“ gibt.
Ich bin dabei ein rein visuell beobachtender Amateurastronom ohne festes Observatorium, muss also mein Equipment immer hinaustragen, aufbauen und dann nach der session wieder abbauen und ins Haus bringen.
Da mein APM 100 ED Bino für eine bequeme Beobachtung nach einer motorischen azimutalen Montierung verlangte, habe ich mir erstmal mit einer Skywatcher AZEQ 5 GT eine solche gebaut. Sie lief recht gut, war aber dann zu windanfällig – was tun.
Just in diesem Moment bin ich über eine Internet-Anzeige von Teleskop-Service Ransburg gestolpert, in der die TTS Panther beworben wurde. Nach einer Internet Recherche unter anderem bei CloudyNights in den USA war klar: Das ist es!
Ich hatte nun 2008 auf dem IHT in Reinsehlen Niels mit einem Prototyp der TTS-160 gesehen. Im Mai 2017 war´s dann soweit.
Ich muss sagen, ich habe es nicht bereut, sowohl das Bino als auch die anderen Teleskope werden von der TTS-160 Panther ohne Probleme getragen, die Nachführung ist präzise und fein. Man muss sich allerdings an die etwas andere Art des Handpads gewöhnen, auch mit dem Alignment erst vertraut werden. Dann hat man aber eine Montierung, die sehr schnell aufgebaut ist ( bei mir auf einem Berlebach Planet, kurz), gut transportabel und funktional durchdacht ist. Es macht sehr viel Spaß, damit mit wechselndem Equipment zu beobachten. Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden, diese Entscheidung für eine lebenslange Nutzung getroffen zu haben.

Ich kann die TTS-160 Panther wärmstens empfehlen.
